We collect information you voluntarily provide when using our Service, including:

• Email address (for access code delivery and support)

We also automatically collect certain technical information when you visit the Site:

• IP address and approximate geographic location (country/state)

• Pages visited, time spent on pages, referring URL
• Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Generate personalized claim documents based on your inputs
• Deliver your access code and claim package after purchase

4. Payment Processing

All payment transactions are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment card information on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.

We receive a confirmation of successful payment from Stripe, along with your email address, to deliver your access code. We retain transaction records for accounting and legal compliance purposes.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to:

• Browser storage: Remember that you unlocked a tool, and keep your answers while you work, in your own browser's local storage
• Analytics: Understand how visitors use the Site through Umami and Vercel Web Analytics, which measure page views and site events without cookies, in aggregate
• Referral tracking: Track affiliate referral codes (e.g., ?ref=SHOPNAME) for our partner program

You can disable cookies in your browser settings; however, some features of the Service may not function properly without cookies.

6. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties, except as described below:

• Stripe — for payment processing
• Umami and Vercel: aggregate site usage analytics and hosting
• Sentry: error monitoring for our servers
• Email service providers (Resend, Zoho): to deliver transactional emails (access codes, support replies)
• Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or governmental authority

All third-party service providers are contractually bound to use your information only for the purpose of providing services to us and in compliance with this Privacy Policy.

7. Data Retention

Your claim details are not stored on our servers. Building and previewing your documents happens in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us, including when you buy: the documents are built on your device. The one exception is optional: if you use the auto tool's "email your package" feature, the documents shown on screen are sent once over an encrypted connection to deliver that email, and we do not keep a copy.

We retain your purchase record (email address, access code, product, and purchase date) for as long as your access code remains active. Access codes do not expire, so this record is kept until the purchase is refunded or you request deletion under Your Rights below.

If you use the Done-For-You service, we retain the case details you submit for the duration of the engagement and up to 12 months afterward to support follow-ups and escalations, or until you request deletion.

Payment transaction records are retained for up to 7 years for accounting and legal compliance.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Right to correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
• Right to deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
• Right to portability: Request a machine-readable copy of your data
• Right to object: Object to processing of your personal data
• California residents (CCPA): Right to know, delete, and opt-out of sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

9. Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. All data transmitted to and from our Site is encrypted using industry-standard TLS (HTTPS). However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.
